can you also explain how to do it i will give a fan and a medal
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
Remember that supplementary means it adds up to 180 and is always on a flat line. Also that complementary ones add up to 90 and are right angles
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Thanks bro for this Info
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
So, number one is on a flat line so it's supplementary
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
Np

number 2 is complementary because it is a right angle
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
number 3 is neither because it is neither on a flat line or a right angle
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Your smart dude
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
lol
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
number 4 is neither because they aren't on a flat line or a right angle (they are vertical angles)

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
number 5 is supplementary because the angles add up to 180 if you combine them
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
number 6 is complementary because if you add them they equal 90
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
number 7 is supplementary because, again, if you add them up they end up being 180
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
number 8 is neither because they are verticle angles
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
Finally number 9 is complementary because it is a right angle and if you add it up it equals 90

That's it for that
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
Also, do you need help with 10-18?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes sir
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
Okay
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
So on number 10 it is supplementary so if you add both of them together they should equal 180. So know you can make this equation, 3x+18=180

It is asking for what x is
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
so if you solve you get x = 54 Do you understand?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
OpenStudy (anonymous):
if u don't believe me i can do it
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
Oh-no I was just making sure could understand all of my nonsense writing

OpenStudy (anonymous):
i think i am wrong
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
I think you messed up somewhere

can u explain it
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
Okay so for number 11 it is supplementary too so you can set up an eqaution that says (x+3) + 49 = 180 if you solve you should get x=128
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh i wrote x=3=46
OpenStudy (anonymous):
49 i ment
OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):
Oh okay now I will explain 12 and than let you try the next one... so...For 12 it is complementary so it should add up to 90 so you can make the eqaution 42 + 4x = 90 if you solve you get x = 12
