these are my answers but i just want some insight (b.) In Sonnet 15 by William Shakespeare, he compares the growth of men to the growth of plants. He reinforces this by his choice of words. He gives off clues that he believes that he can beat time itself, and humiliate his loved ones. He wishes to defeat the hands of time, with intent to preserve his youthful beauty. He wishes to humiliate his loved ones, because he is jealous that they have retained their beauty beyond their youth. (c.)The speaker in Sonnet 27 depicts a scene where he is tired from a day’s work, and wants nothing more than to go to sleep and rest his body. When the speaker eventually lies down in his bed, he begins to generate thoughts about a loved one. These thoughts are so strong and “Blinding”, that he cannot fall asleep. He uses opposites by explaining that he cannot wait to go to sleep, but these daydreams that he is having keeps him awake.
