PLEASE HELP!!! WILL MEDAL AND FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which words in the sentence make up the adjective phrase? What word does the adjective phrase modify? The original manuscript for Don Quixote was more than a thousand pages long. A. a thousand pages; modifies long B. more than; modifies was C. for Don Quixote; modifies manuscript D. The original manuscript; modifies Don Quixote

OpenStudy (rowbe98):

I would say C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya sure of that????

OpenStudy (rowbe98):

Adjective phrases modify nouns or pronouns, so A and B are out because A is an adjective renaming the subject as long, and B is the verb. The original manuscript is not a modifier, it is the subject, so D would be incorrect. You can get another opinion if you'd like though :)

TYSVM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! will medal and fan also could u help me wiith a few more?

OpenStudy (rowbe98):

Oops! To clarify, in answer A, "long" is an adjective renaming the subject. Not the answer A is an adjective. Sorry about that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm so its definitely not A

OpenStudy (rowbe98):

I can try :)

Awwies

OpenStudy (chantysquirrel1129**):

or you're supposed to :3

OpenStudy (rowbe98):

I am so sorry about this, but I just reread the first question and it is A. Wow, I feel stupid! It's definitely A, "for Don Quixote" is a preposition functioning as an adjective. Gosh, I'm sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah its okay
