Points A and B lie on the graph of the equation y = 1.4x. What are the y-coordinates for each point? For each x you will have a corresponding y value. Given the point A(4, ?? ), identify x and substitute that value into y=1.4x to find the associated y value. Do the same thing for the other given point, B(-6, ?? )

I dont know

OpenStudy (mathmale):

You are evaluating a function at a particular x value. If I gave you the function y = 1.2x and the x-coordinate of a point lying on the graph of y = 1.2x, you take that coordinate and plug it into the equation, then evaluate y. For example, x = 3. Substitute x = 3 in the equation 1.2x. What y value results?
