I really need help on a few problems

OpenStudy (unofficialllyy):

OpenStudy (unofficialllyy):

1. How many gallons does the train use per mile? 2. What is the slope of the graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 gallons per mile

OpenStudy (unofficialllyy):

How did you get that? @MinecraftNoob

OpenStudy (pyxieyt):

Do 400(gas) divided by 200(miles)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Based on the graph, you know that 50 miles means 100 gallons are used. Therefore, by logic, there are 2 gallons used up in every mile. For the slope, use this:\[Slope=\frac{ (y _{2}-y _{1}) }{ (x _{2}-x _{1}) }\] Use random points, for example, (50,100) and (100,200)..... \[\frac{ 200-100 }{ 100-50 }\] This reduces to: \[\frac{ 100 }{ 50 }\] You simply do the division and get 2. The slope is 2. :D
