Rewrite f(x) = –2(x − 3)^2 + 2 from vertex form to standard form

OpenStudy (trantom):

good old vertex form :) Ok so the first step is distributing the (x-3)^2

OpenStudy (trantom):

why don't you do that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk how

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

\[(x-3)^2 = (x-3)(x-3)\]

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Your standard form must look like \[y=ax^2+bx+c\] where a,b and c are coefficients.

OpenStudy (trantom):

look at what astro did, then multiply it all by -2, since that was the "a" coefficient
