First I'd start with the (1/4)^-1/4. Do you know how to solve that?
OpenStudy (quickstudent):
Thats 2^1/2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Correct! Ok, so now do the other variables, (a^2)^-1/4.
OpenStudy (quickstudent):
That makes 1/(a^1/2)

ok now what about for the last variable?
OpenStudy (quickstudent):
Thats b^3/4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Ok, now multiply all of those answers to get your result
OpenStudy (quickstudent):
Hmmm, I got the answer, but I don't see it in any of the choices given.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):
-1/4 = -1(1/4)
the ^-1 means everything has to go to the denominator and 1 is in the numerator
OpenStudy (quickstudent):
I don't get it, I'm lost now

x^{-1} = 1/x
OpenStudy (quickstudent):
