OpenStudy (itsmichelle29):

plz help

OpenStudy (itsmichelle29):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is no way to say it, but to say it if \(c\) is a root of a polynomial, then one factor of the polynomial is \(x-c\)

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Do you know factor theorem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example if you had \[p(x)=(x-2)(x-)\] then you know the zeros are \(x=2,x=5\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops typo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have \[p(x)=(x-2)(x-5)\] then you know the zeros are \[x=2,x=5\] thats better

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

If f(x) is a polynomial and (x-c) is a factor of f(x) then f(c)=0 and in your question there is reverse of it.

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Can you tell what is c in your question

OpenStudy (itsmichelle29):

i dont under stand

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Oh. are you confused in f(x) and p(x)

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

p(2)=0 Then (x-2) is a factor of p(x) That's it.

OpenStudy (itsmichelle29):

thanks
