OpenStudy (ray1998):

Find the values of x and y that maximize the objective function P = 3x + 2y for the graph. Coordinates are; (0,8), (5,4), and (9,0). So far I have this: 3(0) + 2(8) = 16 3(5) + 2(4) = 23 What do I do now? For anyone that helps, you will receive both fan and medal :) Thank you in advance!

OpenStudy (zenmo):

you have to plug in (9,0) as well

OpenStudy (ray1998):

Okay, what do you plug that into?

OpenStudy (zenmo):

Plug it into P= 3x+2y

OpenStudy (ray1998):

Okay, so that's 27

OpenStudy (zenmo):

I'm assuming the question is, which sets of coordinates (x,y) gives the highest profit value? So far, you have 16, 23, & 27.

OpenStudy (zenmo):

So, what output (16, 23, 27) is the highest value?
