So im writing an essay about the Indian Removal Act and I have to "Defend the passage or rejection of the Act with reference to the moral, political, constitutional and practical concerns of a congressman." obviously I am defending the rejection of the act but after i wrote my first two body paragraphs, I wasn't sure what argument I could use for my third. The first body para discusses how it was wrong morally, and the second discuses the impracticality of Andrew Jackson's reasons for passing the act...any ideas on what I could say for my last one?????

@uybuyvf

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um...im trying to think so you only need help for a reason for the third paragraph right?>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah! if you want I could PM you what I have so far for my two body paragraphs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that would be very helpful in me assisting you wit the rest..:DDD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok! hold on a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe the third should express the numbers of Indians dead or the affect of the removal like..how did the Europeans thrived while natives died from things like lack of food and they were corrupted by diseases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I was gonna add the amount of natives who died into the first body paragraph to further explain how passing it was immoral

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um oki...hold on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How about we talk about the outcome..like how..natives that live in america now have no taxes or...they get into college with lesser pay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol either that or just explain the removal act as an effect on Europeans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I actually thought about writing about how they pay cheaper tuition but then realized it would go against the points i made in the previous paragraphs since I'm arguing against it. Writing a paragraph on the positive effects would counteract my initial argument

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but isnt the third body paragraph always a counterclaim? or does that not apply to this response?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not in this case:/// i did that once on one of my essays and my teacher took off points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wow...i guess the curriculum changes well then ill search for a negative aspect of the removal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay! thank you for taking the time to help me :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They were forced and pressure to be removed from Southern states. They had to rebuild homes, and their own lives. They had to start anew to a brand new start in life because they had been basically kicked off of their land. It was probably the most aplty named piece of American legislation. It, uh...Removed most eastern tribes further west.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The little to no Indians lived and had to migrate further and start a new life without the comfort of their previous land

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh and Jackson persuaded the Europeans that the Indians were given money and plenty food and land some where else -2nd body paragraph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

!! thanks! i think i might be able to formulate a decent third paragraph from that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Np..:D glad to help
