wht are the quarks,,,,,???
quarks are subnuclear particles, which was introduced by G. Zweig first, and M. Gellman after. For example a proton is composed by three quarks, namely \(p=uud\) wher \(u\) is the \(up-quark\), and \(d\) is the \(down-quark\). Similarly, neutron is composed by three quarks: \(n=udd\) Furthermore, all known particles have their corresponding quark content. I'm speaking about the \(Quark\;Model\). Such model is in continuous development, especially after the experimental observation of the \(Higgs\) boson, whose existence was theoretically predicted by the same scientist \(P.\;Higgs\)
oops... which were* introduced
I mean \(Quark \;Model\) or better \(Standard\;Model\)
wht is isospin direction up & down??? quuarks hv charges ,how tht charges defined as u=+2/3,isospin=+1/2 & strangness=0.....wht is stragness in this??
here are some data: there are six types of quarks, namley: first generation: \(u\), and \(d\) second generation: \(s\) and \(c\), where \(s\) stands for \(stangeness\) and \(c\) stands for \(charm\) third generation: \(b\) and \(c\), where \(b\) stands for \(beauty\) and \(t\) stands for \(top\)
|dw:1448735578162:dw|
strangeness is a quantum number furthermore, the spin of \(u-\)quark is 1/2, whereas the spin of the \(d-\)quark is -1/2 next we have the subsequent electrical charges: \(u-\)quark--->q=2/3 e \(d-\)quark---> q=-1/3 e here \(e=4.8 \cdot 10^{-10}\) esu
