http://s4.postimg.org/mz05r86v1/image.jpg Can someone help with B) ?

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Is that the answer in right of B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No its another part of b

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

2log5. (5)^1/2=2×1/2 log5(5) =1 Here first 5 represents the base

OpenStudy (welshfella):

log2 8 + log4 1 - log7 1/49 Recall that the log of a number to a given base is the exponent to which the base is taken to give the number. eg log2 8 = 3 because 2^3 = 8

OpenStudy (welshfella):

so log4 1 is 4^x = 1 - what is the value of x?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

OH Maybe I scared her away!!

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

That's not B, but if someone can do A ,can also do the B options ,I think so

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Yes Its the same concept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand ones with roots xd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isnt log4 1 = 0 ? -.-

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Yes log 1 is always 0 for any base of log

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

And for roots just take the power=1/2 Example:- log√x=log (x)^1/2 =1/2(log x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer of B is 10? Is it right?

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Yes
