HELP ASAP-Will give medal and fan for quick answers!!! what is the equation in slope intercept form for number 2 shown below?
have you attempted this at all?
Are there any answer choices?
@Mehek14 @hohoho123
@Astrophysics
Slope intercept form is y = mx+b, where b is the y - intercept and m is the slope. You can find the y - intercept simply by seeing where the line crosses the `y-axis` of the graph, you can also either read the slope from the graph from the y - intercept or you may pick two points and find the slope using the slope formula, where the formula is \[m = \frac{ y_{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} } \]
@ella4184 no there aren't any answer choices. @alekos yes. i have tried it and couldn't figure it out
Use the information I gave you, what are the equations?
Being able to read (or to estimate) slopes of straight lines is important in algebra. Think of slope as "rise / run." "Run" is the "change in x value" and "rise" is the corresponding (related) change in y-value. Have you done this before? Goal: find the slope value, "m" Second, from the graph please find the y-coordinate (y-value) of the point on the y-axis at which the graph crosses the y-axis. This is your "b" in y = mx + b. Substitute your "m" and "b" into that equation, and then you'll be done.
