so i have a question i have to graph these two equations 2x+3y=1200 2x+3y=1500 I put them in slope intercept form and got Y=-2/3x+400 y=-2/3x+500 and I am trying to graph both of them using 100, 150, 200, 250, but when i begin to graph y=-2/3(100)+400 I start with multiplying -2/3 with 100 by turning 100 to 100/1 and i get -200/3 and dividing that i get 66.666666667 am i doing something wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the first y-intercept equation, find positive 400 on the y-axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now mark a point at positive 400

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Next, move down 2 and 3 to the right. then mark a point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like 0,400

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about the (X) dont i have to plug that in the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're gonna find 400, mark a point on 400, then go down 2 and right 3, then mark a point. then connect the dots

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, the x just represents the slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i can do that with the other equation as well just go up 500 and down -2 and to the right 3
