Which of the following actions would be most effective in decreasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere while increasing the amount of biodiversity in an area? Could you please check my answer?
A. Planting more trees to absorb more of the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. <--? B. Converting forests into housing developments to increase the amount of carbon dioxide used. C. Digging up native prairies so more crops which use more carbon dioxide can be grown. D. Sowing beans or other legumes along with corn to decrease carbon dioxide fixation.<--?
I'm not sure if it's A or B.
It would be B.) :) if you need anymore help contact me on here or >magicremix123@gmail.com :)
I meant A or D. Could you explain?
D is wrong, legumes are part of nitrogen fixation, any plant contributes to carbon fixation because photosynthesis is a common process in plants
I'm going with A. B: turning forests into housing developments kills trees. C: digging up prairies where plants are already growing to plant crops wouldn't make sense. D: putting beans or any other legumes would take more farm equipment to harvest them which all produce carbon dioxide themselves, so... I'm going with A.
oh ok. Thank you for your response @caozeyuan
