great... 1st number x, 2nd number (x + 6) the next part says... the sum of their squares is 90... so \[x^2 + (x + 6)^2 = 90\] can you distribute and collect like terms..?

No I'm just supposed to write an equation not solve

ok... so that is an equation above.... but it's not in it's simplest form
