To solve the equation four r equals two-thirds, you should:
divide both sides by 4.
divide both sides by two-thirds.
subtract four r from both sides.
subtract two-thirds from both sides.

4r=(2/3)
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
Well what are you solving for?

Yeah you want to solve for r is that true?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
OpenStudy (anonymous):
How can you isolate r, then? You have 4r, and you want just r. What do you do?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
You can either divide both sides by 4 or you can multiply both sides by 1/4. They're the same thing, but certain people prefer to think of it differently. It's up to you.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
And if we were to carry out with the actual process:
\[\huge \frac{1}{\cancel{4}} \cdot \cancel{4}r=\frac{2}{3} \cdot \frac{1}{4}\]

You have 4r
And you need r
So divide it by 4
But remember you have to divide both side by 4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so is it A B c Or d
