Mr. Walker has made 220 ounces of jam. He has jars that each hold 12 ounces. What is the fewest number of jars needed to hold all the jam made? A. 20 B. 4 C. 19 D. 18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When I do 220 divided by 12, It gives me 18.33333333. So, I don't know if I put the wrong sign. Help!!

@hhmorris98

OpenStudy (hhmorris98):

So he obviously needs more than 18 jars then right? sop you can rule out answers B and D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (hhmorris98):

So if he needs 18.33333 jars to fill his jam he obviously needs one more than 18 which would be 19. Make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, thank you.

OpenStudy (hhmorris98):

No problem :)
