Can anybody help me with the Theorems About Roots of Polynomial Equations Practice assignment? (Connections- Unit 6 Lesson 5)

OpenStudy (rsadhvika):

please post the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay @rsadhvika there are a few but here is the first one. Use the Rational Root Theorem to list all possible rational roots for the equation. 3x^3+9x-6=0

OpenStudy (phi):

First, list all the numbers that divide evenly into 6

OpenStudy (phi):

you first look at the last number 3x^3+9x-6=0 which is 6 (ignoring the minus sign) now you need to list all the numbers that divide into 6 for example: 1 divides into 6 (1 always divides evenly , so you will always get a 1) what other numbers divide into 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 and 2 @phi

OpenStudy (phi):

ok, and one more: 6 divides into 6 evenly so you have four numbers 1,2,3,6 now do the same for the 3 (the leading number in the "highest term" 3 x^2)

OpenStudy (phi):

**now do the same for the 3 (the leading number in the "highest term" 3 x^3 )
