Sorry for the delay- I'm not too sure about this one (clay isn't my strong suit) but my best guess would be B or C. Did your lesson explain at all how to tell the different ways in which clay is acquired?

@kxttxn Clay is another resource that artists use to make pottery and sculptures. Clay is simply a form of dirt. However, unlike gravel or sand, clay has a consistency that holds the particles together so that it can be shaped into forms such as a bowl or a sculpture. This clay then needs to be fired at temperatures close to 2,000 degrees to become ceramic like plates and coffee cups.
For artists to determine what materials to use, how to make them better, and how to achieve the different effects they want, they have to experiment with various materials. Artists have to experiment with clay, and the firing or baking temperatures that make them ceramic. Painters experiment with different plants to determine how to achieve the colors they want and how to mix the pigments to create the paints
