OpenStudy (jaylelile):

I keep coming up with 0, I must be doing something wrong. Please help! Candy cost $1.55 per pound. where x represents the number of pounds, how many pounds of candy can you buy with $15?

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

I'm not 100% sure on it because it has been a while. However we could try and set up an equation for this. so we are given $1.55 per pound for candy x - number of pounds and we need to know how many pounds we can buy with $15 suppose the equation is set up like $1.55x = $15 then divide 1.55 on both sides to find out how many pounds we can buy with $15.

OpenStudy (jaylelile):

ohhhh okay I think that's right I got 9.68 lbs. thank you so much!

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

yes!
