The blue line is horizontal. Can you see how many units the blue line is about the x=axis? Is it one or two.

Directrix (directrix):

A horizontal line has a slope of 0. For a 1 unit increase in x, there is a 0 unit increase in y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 0 * x + 2

?

Directrix (directrix):

>>>y = 0 * x + 2 That is what I got.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok it correct then

Directrix (directrix):

0*x = 0 The equation of the blue line is y = 2. In slope-intercept form, that works out to y = 0*x + 2, slope 0, y intercept 2.

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

I think that is right actually, I was looking at the problem wrong. The slope is 0 and the y-intercept is 0. So yeah, I'd say you're good to go!
