The verbs "gustar" and "encantar" are used in Spanish in the passive form, and not like in English.
In Spanish, the way to say "I like to eat ice cream" is more or less "It pleases me to eat ice cream." "Me gusta comer helado." literally means more or less "It pleases me to eat ice cream."
Notice that in the sentence in English "I like to eat ice cream," The subject is I.
If you say the same sentence as "It pleases me to eat ice cream." the subject of "pleases" is not I anymore since you see that "pleases" is in the third person singular. The subject of pleases is it, a third person singular subject.

In Spanish, when you use the verbs "gustar" or "encantar" you use the passive form, and the subject and verb are third person singular if you are talking about a singular thing.

I like to eat ice cream. Me gusta comer helado.
I love to eat ice cream. Me encanta comer helado.
Notice in both sentences above, the verb is using the el/ella form, not the you form.

If the thing you are talking about is plural, then the verb must be third person plural.
I like the books. Me gustan los libros.
I love the movies. Me encantan las peliculas.
