Which word best describes the diction of an academic argument? professional scholarly informal slang

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, let's solve this together. Do you know the definition of academic argument?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not exactly!! but i got some idea what it is

Okay, well... I guess I will just fill you in. An academic argument is an argument that based on evidence, but the argument is not obvious. You could think of it like this! A police officer robbed a store, and there is evidence, but not obvious evidence for the court room. So judging by the case in the COURTROOM, what would you think the answer would be? We can definitely cross out informal considering a court trial/ hearing is very much formal. We can cross out slang, because a judge is not going to use nor is he going to tolerate slang. Now, you're stuck with Scholarly and professional. In a court room, you are not going to use scholar details, you are going to use evidence. So I believe your answer would be Professional !! Let me know if I was correct and if I was, then I'd appreciate a medal ! c:
