I know this isn't math but I just need someone to verify I am correct ill medal and fan plz? A baseball player throws a baseball from the outfield to second base. Which forces are acting on the ball during its flight (assume no air resistance)? The player and air resistance Gravity and air resistance Gravity, the player, and air resistance Only gravity Gravity and the player <---- I would of picked 'c' but it said assume no air resistance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Gravity because gravity acts upon all forces and the player is exerting energy and force to the ball causing it to exert forward, if we assumed air resistance, this would of been the slowing down factor

@ganeshie8 am i right?

Actually I changed my mind, it would only be gravity. The player only exerts vi, INITIAL VELOCITY, this does not follow through with the entire throw. There is no air resistance, so its only gravity.
