A chickenpox virus invaded a cell. Inside, the viral genes were expressed and the viral genetic information was transcribed and translated into viral capsid proteins. What happens when a cell transcribes a viral gene? -The host cell destroys the viral gene. -The host cell replicates the virus. -Host cell translates the viral gene.

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Okai so what is your answer ?

OpenStudy (rushwr):

If a cell transcribes a viral gene, then that cell is also a carrier and can aid in the spread of the virus. Once inside, the viral genes are expressed. The cell transcribes and translates the viral genetic information into viral capsid proteins. Sometimes this may cause the cell to make copies of the virus, and in the process the host cell is destroyed. !
