OpenStudy (yoongilife):

I am willing to do the work I want to learn. I will include the document + answers and explanation once the post is open.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yes i'm here

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

Please note that there are TWO separate questions. I have included what I think the possible answer is + my reason for believing so.

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

If I am incorrect in anyway, let me know so I can learn and possibly work it out with you. Thanks~

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

i would say A too for the first

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

lemme check the second

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

I agree with you on both :)

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yes second is also correct

hartnn (hartnn):

I think B is more accurate for first....all 4 angles should be right angle.

hartnn (hartnn):

though if one angle is right, all others will automatically become right

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

WOOOO yeah gratnn

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

I'm glad you brought that up. It appears to me that you can choose more than one answer. Shall I choose BOTH A and B?

hartnn (hartnn):

if you can, sure. if you can choose only one, go with B

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yeah both are correct

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

Good. Thank you for your opinions. May I ask another question if you have time?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yeah

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Good catch @hartnn :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hart no will u help me with my ques when u are free

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

So this next question has got me a bit confused. Is it asking about the name of the transformations used such as dialation, rotation, etc, or is it asking me to write the exact transformations used to get from figure A to figure A'. For example (x, y).

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

chose a pair of points: A and A' how many units is shifted up ?

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

A: (x + 1, y +3)?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yes

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

@hartnn @sleepyjess do you agree?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Yep :)

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

ok

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

So for B: (x + 1) and C: (x + 3, y + 2)?

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

My apologies, for B: (x + 1, y + 1)?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

This triangle is dilated... but I'm not sure how to put that into a transformation rule

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

that looks better :)

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Okay, there will be a scale factor of something (haven't gotten that far yet), then we'll do the transformation rule

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

Yes, I can see it's dilated as @sleepyjess. I agree, it seems that it is to easy at this point, I believe we might have to calculate scale factory in...

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

I figured out that it's dilated by a scale factor of 1.5, do you get that?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Alex, in transformation rules, all points have the same rule, you can't have 3 different rules for the same triangle

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yeah....

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

On the scale factor, don't you have to have numbers transcribed into the triangle to even begin calculating?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

I'm not sure what you mean by having numbers transcribed into the triangle. Maybe Iearned differently?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

*maybe I

OpenStudy (yoongilife):

For instance, the numbers are given. I'm sorry if I'm not making any sense, I'm learning...|dw:1449727384946:dw|
