its fine but real quick is a tautology always true or sometimes true? the only other options is always or sometimes false.

A statement in math is a phrase for which you can say it is true or false. 'He is six years old' is true or false, so it is a statement. 'How is the weather?' cannot be answered by true nor by false, so it is not a statement.
