WHAT IS A STEMCELL? PLEASE explain i dont understand it! Also please tell the advantages and the disadvantages of stemcells?

a stem cell is an undifferentiated cell. this means that it is a cell that has the potential to become almost any type of cell in the body ( liver cell, cardiac muscle cell, neuronal cell)

@13ziar Think of stem cells like the first few cells when the fertilized egg starts to divide. If you look at the, say blastula stage, there are enough cells to make a small hollow sphere and that is it. How could you have skin cells when there is no skin? Muscle cells without muscle? And so on. So these are embryonic stems cells but there are other types even ones in our bodies that sit around and change when needed.

Have you ever thought about the apparent conflict between being told nerve cells do not heal and we lose brain cells every day, but we don't have huge amounts of brain death? Well, even though the cells do not heal, we don't have a constant decrease in the number of brain cells without end. There are actually stem cells in the adult brain and adult heart that can change to form new brain cells, new cardiac cells.

Stem cell:
Any unspecialized cell in a multicellular organism, except a sperm or egg cell, that can divide and become any cell type in the body

Basically, it's a cell that can morph into any kind of cell. It does this by getting the DNA of the cell it will morph into and using the DNA as a new blueprint to reconstruct itself. Human embryos are basically blobs of stem cells. The stem cells multiply and morph into every cell in the human body. All embryos do this, but for their respective organism.
