Sam is observing the velocity of a car at different times. After three hours, the velocity of the car is 53km/h. After six hours, the velocity of the car is 62km/h Part A Write an equation in two variables in the standard form that can be used to describe the velocity of the car at different times. Show your work and define the variables used. Part B How can you graph the equation obtained in Part A for the first seven hours.

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

Let's take the velocity of the car as \(V\) and the time as \(t\). Then we have the following information: When \(V=53\) , \(t=3\) When \(V=62\) , \(t=6\) So as we are given two points, we can guess velocity is linearly related with time. \(\therefore\) We can take \(V=k_1+k_2t\) where \(k_1\) and \(k_2\) are constants. You just have to find those constants.
