Your answer is correct. However, I think you need to look at the big picture about the relationship. They're proportional, but inversely proportional. And it's not just the distance, but the square of the distance. The equation I posted gives the following visual relationship:|dw:1450131608241:dw| M1 = Mass 1 M2 = Mass 2 F12 = Force of mass 1 onto mass 2 F21 = Force of mass 2 onto mass 1 The equation states that there is a certain gravitational force of attraction exerted by both objects. This gravitational force is directly proportional to the masses of the objects, and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. There is a constant G which is defined as the Gravitational Constant (6.674×10−11 N⋅m2/kg2).
