What is your question?
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
OpenStudy (littleheron):
4 is prove
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
can you help me @GabeBae
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
4 is ASA

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
first we were given angle congruency and a side
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
and 5 is cpctc
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
then 3 they proved another angle congruency
so in 4 we have angle side angle gives two congruent triangles
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
and can u also help me with this one too?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
well for 5 you have congruent triangle therefore all respective sides are congruent

so am i right then ?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
what is cpctc?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
sorry not familiar with this abreviation
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
does that help?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
yes good same as i said
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
thanks :)
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
ok so how about this one ?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
okay for the next one 2
we know that all right angles are congruent 90 degrees
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
3 is given

ok so is that what i put ?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
yea
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
4 DSH congruent to DST
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
angles of course
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
ok so 5 is ?

5 is SAS
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
ok yeah that makes sense...
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
no sorry
AAS
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
so i have two more i need help with
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
ok

OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
here is the first one
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
Do you agree that we have isos triangle
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
yes
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
,not all of the sums of the angles are equal
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
good! do you agree that angles at the base are congruent

OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
yes
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
then do you see that x+x+38=180
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
yes
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
so 2x=180-38
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
x=?

OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
71?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
correct
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
so is that my answer?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
yes for sure! we started with recognizing two identical sides that told us we have isos triangle
then we employed the fact that isos triangles have two congruent angles at the base
then we used the fact of angles of a triangle 180
then it is reasonable what our solution is x=71
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
so last one ?

OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
i know we have right angles
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
yes there are!
but i'm going to not look at as right triangles (drawing can deceive us )
first let's look at the big triangle
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
ok
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
we are given an isos triangle again
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
ok

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
sorry website crash
we are also given angle C=47
so B=47
then 47+47+2y=180
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
y=43
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
now focus on x
x+43+47=180
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
im looking at triangle ABD
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
so it is x=90 as we thought

OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
ok
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
you can go with the fact angle bisector in isos triangle is perpendicular to the base
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
if you one a different method
OpenStudy (thehollywoodstud):
ok
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
so x=90
then look for y
