MEDAL PLUS FAN!!! Determine which relation is a function. A. {(–3, 2), (–2, 3), (–1, 2), (0, 4), (1, 1)} B. {(–3, 3), (–2, 3), (–1, 1), (0, 4), (0, 1)} C. {(–3, 2), (–1, 3), (–1, 2), (0, 4), (1, 1)} D. {(–3, 2), (–2, 3), (–1, 1), (0, 4), (0, 1)}
Hey Abby. :D To find a relation that isn't a function, try finding one where the range never repeats.
Function: each member of the domain is mapped to the range once.
Sorry, my mistake. Where the DOMAIN never repeats.
Ok, lol
I.E. {(1,1), (2,1)} is a function {(1,1), (1,2)} is not
mhmm. So im thinking A.
B. {(–3, 3), (–2, 3), (–1, 1), (0, 4), (0, 1)} B, for example, is not a function. 0 is mapped twice.
Yeah I see that.
A is correct. :) {(–3, 2), (–2, 3), (–1, 2), (0, 4), (1, 1)} The domain consists of entirely different values.
Each member of the domain is mapped once and only once to the range.
Yay! I got it right. thnx! :D I understand clearly now.
Good. :3
@malcolmmcswain can I have medal please? :3 lol
