please help i will fan!! Choose the equation of the vertical line passing through the point (−4, 2). y = −4 x = −4 y = 2 x = 2

OpenStudy (van.gosh):

x= -4 Remember that for a vertical line, the x-values must always stay the same. So, we know it has to be an "x=" equation. From there one can figure out that, since the point is on the x value -4, the answer is x= -4. Is there anything you're confused about?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure its -4

OpenStudy (van.gosh):

Fairly sure. A vertical line is up-and-down, like a column, while a horizontal is across, like the horizon. So: |dw:1450414969890:dw| Notice that no matter what point you choose, the x value is always -4.

OpenStudy (van.gosh):

With an edit: The top point should be (-4, 4) :)
