Plzz help i need accurate answers plzz ill fan! :) The triangle π΄π΅πΆ has coordinates π΄=(-6,1), π΅=(-5,4), and πΆ=(6,-7). The triangle is dilated from the origin by a scale factor π = 3. Identify the coordinates of the dilated triangle π΄β²π΅β²πΆβ. a) Aβ = (-18, 3), Bβ =(-15,12),Cβ = (-18, 21) b) Aβ = (-18, 3), Bβ =(-15,12), Cβ = (18, -21) c) Aβ = (18, 3), Bβ =(-15,-9), Cβ = (18, -21) d) Aβ = (-18, -3), Bβ=(-15,12), Cβ = (-18, 21)
Dilations just mean that we are scaling the coordinates by a number. In this case, the scale factor is 3, so we just simply multiply all the coordinates by 3.
For example, A = (-6, 1) A' = 3 x (-6, 1) = (-18, 3)
so what the answer a b c or d ?? sorry i need exact answers :)
I already found A' for you, now try to find B' and C' yourself. You should then be able to get the answer.
B' = 3 x (-5, 4) C' = 3 x (6, -7)
