OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Have you considered calculating the individual areas of the 5 surfaces and adding them up?

OpenStudy (asad786):

i didnt know what to do

OpenStudy (asad786):

ok im still confused

OpenStudy (asad786):

@pooja195

OpenStudy (asad786):

i added them up and got 28

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

28 what? Not a good answer. Calculate the area of the big rectangle: |dw:1450846684638:dw|

OpenStudy (asad786):

i think c

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

For future reference: 1) Don't post problems with no work shown. If you REALLY have nothing, you need to go back to the source of the problem. No one else can help you. 2) Don't tag people with no work shown. 3) If you get a response from someone who can be helpful, don't just tag someone else. Ask questions. Participate in a conversation.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

How much work did you show in "i think c"? Why do you think it is c? Are you admitting you DO KNOW how to proceed?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Couldn't agree more than I agree right now with tkhunny. Is the vocabulary used in this problem statement clear to you? Do you know what "surface area" is? Looking at the exterior surfaces of this prism, do you see any rectangles? triangles? If you do, that'd be a great start.

OpenStudy (asad786):

srry

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Do you know what "surface area" is?
