I'm not sure how to solve this one at all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see if u solve each eq simultaneously with original eq and u get no solution thats ur answer

For the set of equations to have no solution, there is only one way that two lines exist without ever touching each other. This is by being parallel. Are any of the equations in the answer choices parallel to the given line, but with a different y-intercept? That would be your answer.

Then D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, D is the only line parallel to the given line.
