OpenStudy (decarr432):

Which property of exponents must be used first to solve this expression

OpenStudy (decarr432):

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

if we have an exponent like this \((xy^2)^3\) then you are basically using the power rule and making it as \(x^3y^6\) since you distributed 3 to the terms in the parenthesis *also remember that \((y^2)^3\) is the same thing as \(y^{2 \times 3} = y^6\). so which one looks something like that from the options... remember to not get hung off by the other options because the terms in the parenthesis do not share the same base.

OpenStudy (decarr432):

Could the answer be C. then?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I think so

OpenStudy (decarr432):

Okay thank you

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Yw
