OpenStudy (carlyxphan):

Write a linear equation and provide a graph for an equation in slope intercept form with a negative slope and a y-intercept of 0. Please help! :)

OpenStudy (carlyxphan):

Would it be a horizontal line because the y intercept would have to be at 0?

OpenStudy (marihelenh):

No, it can still intercept 0 and not just be horizontal. So, y=mx+b --> y=mx. Just put in a negative value for m and you will have your line.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

linear equation in slope-intercept form y = m x + b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept (when x = 0)

OpenStudy (carlyxphan):

So would that be the correct graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, this is not the answer for anything and its really off topic, but phan is life.

OpenStudy (carlyxphan):

Omg yes phandom <3

OpenStudy (triciaal):

slope is the change in y divided by the corresponding change in x given 2 points on a line (x1,y1) and (x2, y2) the slope, m is (y2 - y1) / (2 - x1)

OpenStudy (triciaal):

the slope is the same for any 2 points on that line
