I know OpenStudy is trying to make money, but I'm super sad that you have to pay to get so many of these opportunities on OpenStudy. Some of the prices seem so outlandish when you don't exactly know what your getting. I don't want to make anyone upset, I just wanted to voice my feedback.
@neonumbrella5115 Interesting ^_^ could you please elaborate as to what these many "opportunities" include and why their prices might be so "outlandish"? - Asking a Qualified Help question only costs $2 or less while on many other sites and in society overall, tutoring sessions can cost from $15-$100 for such an opportunity. (and in many cases, our Qualified Helpers are willing to help our users without payment) - Buying a T-Shirt might only cost $28 but you should take into account that most customink shirts cost about $20 each and that's not including the shipping fee of having OpenStudy ship the shirt to you :) - Sure the Volunteer Certificate and Recommendation letter may cost $10 each... ... I'm actually attempting to make them "cheaper" so that you can get them for free if you achieve a Purple (3000 medal) title ^_^"
Alright, I see what the problem was, so feel free to make this information public to keep other users informed if they are curious about our Volunteer Certificate or Recommendation Letters :) About the Recommendation Letter (example is included in post): http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/55c5931fe4b0c7f4a9793359 About the Volunteer Certificate (note that the form here no longer applies): http://blog.openstudy.com/2014/09/12/need-community-service-hours/ Example of Volunteer Certificate: http://blog.openstudy.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Community-Service-Letter-Generic.pdf
Thank you so much, this is exactly what I needed to see! Maybe I'll wait until I answered more questions though. :D
