here is an example of an irrational number between \(\frac{1}{100}\) and \(\frac{1}{1000}\) \[\huge \frac{1}{\sqrt{100001}}\]

and a rational number between 1/100 and 1/1000 could be the average, (1/100+1/1000)/2=(10+1)/1000/2=11/2000
