OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

can someone check my three answers. I got A, C and B!

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

I am pretty sure number 1 is right but not to sure about the others

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

b. i think is 2

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

very interesting, B would be my second choice for number 2

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

im not sure

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Ben, if you're not sure, it's better that you either stay on the sidelines or at least show your own work. Otherwise valuable time is lost. Thank you.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Howard, I think your best bet ate this point is to look up all four answer choices on the 'Net and look for examples. The benefit of your doing this would be (1) a quick review of the meaning, with examples, of the different types of sampling, and (2) examples of same.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

ok I will, but does this mean im incorrect on one or more of them

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Please see the following search results for "cluster sampling." Note how there are definitions as well as examples. No, I am not implying either that your answer choices are correct or that they are not.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

hmm, ok give me a moment to search here

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Sure. I appreciate your willingness to invest your own time and to follow at least some of my suggestions.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

ok so on page 5 of this document we can research : http://montemath.com/apstatsunit3supplementalreading.pdf

OpenStudy (mathmale):

This is a well-written, comprehensive source, and I commend you for having found it. With the examples it gives as references, you should now be better able to decide what typsw of sampling are represented in the problems you've posted.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

ok so I would think 1. is A I would tihnk 2. is D and I would think 3. is also D

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

The first one literally has the answer in the question..

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

The 2nd one you are correct..

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

3 I think is also a stratified random but I cannot tell :/

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

hmm i dont know about 3
