Which statement is true about DNA? DNA is a single-stranded molecule. Both of the original DNA strands act as templates during replication. Only one of the original DNA strands acts as a template during replication. DNA replication takes place in the cytosol of cells.
The right one is the second. The first one could be true but given the second sentence it can't be. In general, DNA can be both single stranded and doule stranded (its most usual version). The last one can be true in general only in procariotic cells were nucleus is absent.
@Rushwr Let me raise doubts about that, DNA isn't ALWAYS double stranded.
DNA is usually a double-helix and has two strands running in opposite directions. (There are some examples of viral DNA which are single-stranded). Each chain is a polymer of subunits called nucleotides (hence the name polynucleotide). http://tigger.uic.edu/classes/phys/phys461/phys450/ANJUM04/ The closest I could find as both my book and notes are in Greek.
