will medal and fan first correct answer What is the most common salt found in ocean water? A. potassium B. calcium carbonate C. magnesium D. sodium chloride
@dakid88 @danysanchy97 @LegendarySadist @Lovelarap @trwatkins1
Which of the following conditions would cause the salinity of ocean water to decrease? A. high rates of evaporation B. freezing of glaciers C. extremely hot weather D. a river flowing into the sea
the first one would be D.
Look at the map. Which of the following areas most likely has the warmest ocean surface water? A. Seattle, Washington B. San Jose, Costa Rica C. Cape Town, South Africa D. London, England
thx
um do u know the rest
@foolofatook
@danysanchy97
the second one . A-Wrong, salt will not evaporate so you will decrease the water volume but maintain a constant salt amount, which will increase the salt concentration B-Wrong, salt is forced out of water as it freezes so all the glaciers are freshwater. This causes the exact type of thing as A C-Wrong, hot weather will increase evaporation, see A for explanation D-Correct. Rivers are freshwater and so you will be adding in water with a lower concentration of salt. Essentially, you are adding in water at a faster rate than you are adding in salt so the relative amount of salt in the water is decreases [lower concentration].
thx
and 3rd
do you have the map to it?
oh sorry yes
most likely San Jose, costa rica. Its nearest the equator and tends to have water temperatures of ~30 degrees C. south africa is further away from the equator (way down on the southern tip of Africa) and tends to have water temperatures ~20 degrees C. England is pretty far north and gets some cold water currents around it with temperatures ~10 degrees C. Washington is also fairly far north and tends to have water temperatures ~12 degrees C
thx do u need any more help then tag me
alright i will
kk bye
