How do i factor 5x^ -65x + 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the first step is to make things easier for yourself and factor out a 5 (you can multiply the 5 back in if you want to). So you would have 5(x^2-13x+36). You can factor the expression in the parentheses as: (x-9)(x-4). So the final factoring is 5(x-9)(x-4) or (5x-45)(x-4). Do you understand what I did?
