I'm meant to convert to degree-minute-second form.

OpenStudy (hossamhoussien):

Yup! It's correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YAY! Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you explain one more for me?

OpenStudy (hossamhoussien):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! A vector with initial point (4,-1) and terminal point (1,-6) is translated so that it’s initial point is at the origin. Fin the new terminal point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my bro told me the answer was (-3,-5) but how do you get it?

OpenStudy (hossamhoussien):

yea he is right and you calculate it from this formula : Assuming initial point A (a,b) and terminal point B(c,d) so \[AB = (c-a,d-b)\] In your example : \[AB = (1-4,-6--1)\] \[AB = (-3,-5)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, ok. Thanks a lot! Cya.
