HELP WILL GIVE MEDAL Let u = <-9, 4>, v = <8, -5>. Find u - v.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay, vectors!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically we have \[u=-9i+4j\] and \[v = 8i-5j\] where the i, j are unit vectors. Putting it simply, we have \[u-v \implies <-9+8,4-5>\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow you made it so easy thankyou!

myininaya (myininaya):

I think he wrote u+v though :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did, sorry haha! Thanks @myininaya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh only the bottom is lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the one I had done, I think you can figure it out with the minus sign :) \[u \color{red}{+} v \implies <-9+8,4-5>\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it will be -17, 9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good! We then have \[<-17,9>\]
