Cellular respiration and combustion both release energy. What form is the energy released in? Cellular respiration: Combustion:

What do you think?

OpenStudy (javk):

Cellular respiration basically takes energy from glucose molecules etc. and converts it into ready energy to be used by the cell. It does this by storing the energy in ATP molecules. This is the same kind of energy stored in batteries, petrol etc. Any time you see energy being stored for later use, think of chemical energy (but be careful not to confuse it with potential energy - potential energy is used to get work done...whereas chemical energy is stored energy for later use). Also combustion = burning / reacting with oxygen. So when something is burning it is giving off ___________ energy heat energy...that's right ;p
