The graph shows the number of cars sold at a car dealership over a 6-month period. About how many more cars were sold in June than in April? 10 50 75 105

OpenStudy (freemap):

OpenStudy (freemap):

I got 60 but 60 isn't an answer choice

OpenStudy (freemap):

@Michele_Laino

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

I need to know the numeric data

OpenStudy (mathmale):

1. Obtain data from the graph. How many cas were sold in June? How many in April? 2. Subtract the number sold in April from the number sold in June. Done.

OpenStudy (freemap):

the graph is all that they gave me

OpenStudy (freemap):

210 in april and 150 in june is =60

OpenStudy (mathmale):

The graph is entirely adequate. Let's obtain the necessary info from it. See my first questin, above.

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

how did you get 60?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

in April are less than 150

OpenStudy (freemap):

April is 150 on they graph and June is 210 on the graph the line doesn't fall directly on the measure that they have, so I just estimated the best I could

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Yes, that's a problem. You may not be able to read EXACTLY how many cards are sold, but try at least for accuracy to "within 5 cars." Try again.

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

I think that the answer is greater than 60, since, in April the number of cars sold is less than 150, whereas the number of cars sold in June can be 210

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Please try again. I do agree with you that the number of cars sold in June was about 210.

OpenStudy (freemap):

I did 210 and 145 thats 65. Do you think that april could be less than 145? because 65 is still not an answer

OpenStudy (mathmale):

65 is between which two answer choices?

OpenStudy (freemap):

Well 50 and 75

OpenStudy (mathmale):

and 65 is closer to which one?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

True, but there's no 70 among your answer choices. So, again, 65 is closer to which of the two answer choices 50 and 75?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

I think that we can choose as answer 75, maybe the graph is not very precise

OpenStudy (freemap):

both of them are a 15 differance

OpenStudy (mathmale):

sometimes we have to do this educated guesswork. And yes, Michele is correct in saying that the graph doesn't show car sales data very clearly.

OpenStudy (freemap):

Thanks @Michele_Laino and @mathmale

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

:)
