-FAN AND MEDAL TO THE FIRST ANSWER I GET- Can anyone help with this ASAP? I need it done in twenty minutes and I've completed 49 other questions and this one is getting me. Thank you so much! Hopefully the attachment with the question in it worked...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see no attachment

OpenStudy (mrnood):

direct answers are not permitted - and especially if you are doing a timed test!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not taking a test. I am not looking for a direct answer, just some help (: thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see no attachment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where is the bloody attachment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I probably should have reworded it (: thank you for pointing it out! Will you please help me with the math, though? I can copy the question onto a reply, but I though the attachment would be easier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at the bottom of the area where you type in the reply it says ADD ATTACHMENT should be about here if you type this VVVVVV

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Match each system of linear equations with the quadrant in which the solution lies. x + 2y = 8 4x + 6y =22 --- 2x + 3y = -12 4x - 2y = -2 --- 3x - 2y = 10 5x + 3y = 4 --- 3x + 2y = 14 x - 3y = -10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is what an attachment will look like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, now can you please help with the math? Thank you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1452873113064:dw| that is how a graph works

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first set is x the second set is y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand how graphs work, but I need some help finding x and y in each equation. I know you can replace each variable with 0 and to find either x or y, but for some reason that doesn't work for me. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can anyone help?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

these are all straight lines, Settinx x=0 gives you the y INTERCEPT Setting y=0 gives the x INTERCEPT from these points you can sketch the line: e.g for first equations x + 2y = 8 set x=0 > yintercept = 4 set y=0 > xintercept = 8 4x + 6y =22 set x=0 > yintercept = 22/6 ~3.7 set y=0 > xintercept = 22/4 ~ 5.5|dw:1452874102835:dw| do the same for the others
